As part of the City’s continued commitment to advancing our efforts to implement Green Infrastructure (GI) within City watersheds, the Department of Watershed Management is issuing a GI Design Challenge.
There are six proposed locations throughout the City with the objective to engage the design community to create innovative and practical GI solutions.
The goal of the six projects is to maximize infiltration and the storage of storm water runoff from surrounding areas while maintaining feasible construction and long-term maintenance costs.
We invite the design community which include landscape architects, engineers and GI specialists to learn more about the projects that will foster community involvement, provide environmental improvements and neighborhood enhancements.
